Our lessons are a little longer to make them perfect; they include a theoretical part before entering the water and a practical part with monitoring and correction from the instructor.
We try to organize small groups by age, level, and language.
All our instructors are certified.
We access a quiet area through a forest to find the best waves.
The price includes the equipment, surfboard and wetsuit, and the Sport Accident and Civil Liability insurance.

- Group: ideal if you come alone or with more people.
- Couple: perfect to share with your partner, a family member, or a friend.
- Individual: the best option to focus 100% on your needs and/or to improve at any level.
- Private group: a format designed for families or groups of friends who want an exclusive instructor.

Content of a lesson
- Theory + practice
- Surfing takes place in a very changeable environment that sometimes involves risks. At KOA Surf School, we consider it essential to include in our lessons basic knowledge so that students can enjoy surfing independently. This knowledge includes:
- How currents and tides work
- Behaviour with other surfers and swimmers in the water
- How waves form
- Personal and third-party safety
- How the beach and coastline work
- Meteorology
Safety
- Safety is essential.
- We have a first aid kit, hydration, and communication with the School on the beach.
- Our instructors are Surf Sport Technicians certified by the Cantabrian Surf Federation and qualified lifeguards.
- Sport Accident and Civil Liability Insurance are included.
